NOSA Range SchedulesIndoor Shooting Schedule for NOSA Members at Thunder Bay District Fish and Game FacilityNote: When on the F&G Ranges at any time, their rules contained in their Safety Orientation Session (SOS) or on their posted range signs must be followed. Regular Wednesday evening shooting for Junior Shooters is underway. Regular Friday evening shooting for NOSA Adult Members who also hold Thunder Bay District Fish and Game [F&G] Memberships is underway. Note that as members of F&G they can shoot 7 days a week at F&G Ranges when not booked by other clubs or undergoing maintenance. New members to F&G who have not yet had an SOS (formal F&G-conducted safety briefing and walking tour of the ranges) can arrange to attend the next SOS, normally starting at the F&G Clubhouse at 09:30 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month. Specific arrangements can be made with the F&G Range Operator whose contact information is listed on the Club Contacts page -- see link in left column. There are now new categories of NOSA Membership. (Please see the webpage About Us -- link is in left column of this page.) Those who hold membership of NOSA plus membership of Thunder Bay District Fish and Game will be able to shoot at Nolalu seasonally (see details below for NOSA days booked), and at the Fish and Game Ranges year round. Other persons who want to shoot at Nolalu Ranges only can buy a special Nolalu-Only NOSA Membership (see details below for NOSA days booked). Outdoor Nolalu Shooting RangeThe NOSA Club Nolalu Outdoor Shooting Range is known as the Nolalu Shooting Range or the JR Range. It is in operation in 2024 for two days a week on NOSA Club Days Thursdays and Sundays from 16 May through 13 October inclusive between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. or darkness. The term Nolalu Irregulars refers to a small band of NOSA members who mostly regularly shoot together at Nolalu. All NOSA members are welcome to attend and enjoy the company of friendly fellow shooters. Lots of tips and help for newcomers to this fun shooting sport. The Nolalu Irregulars started on the 16th [of May] and have shot on the subsequent Thursdays as well as Sunday mornings. They start at 14:00ish on Thursdays (retired folks) and 09:00ish on Sundays. Early start times allow for folks to get more shooting in as well as the usual jibber jabber and show and tell. With enough attendance, the BBQ could be fired up for eats. A current agreement has been made with the Thunder Bay Combat Club, which normally books the same Nolalu Ranges for Saturdays during this same period, to share these same Ranges with NOSA Members weekly on both Saturdays and Sundays. Shooting on other non-Club Days can only be done with the express permission of the property owner, Mr. Wade Williams, and by additional private payment by the member (and any guest) of a per person daily fee; Mr. Williams at 807-629-2653 must have given permission in advance. If the shooting ranges are booked for another group or maintenance is scheduled, permission will not be allowed that day.
